If you’re anything like me, you want a fit body that is full of vitality. But let’s talk about what is happening now…
You have persistent aches and pains that are impacting your mood and energy daily. This often puts you in a bad mood (and perhaps also deters you from getting any exercise).
It doesn’t have to be this way! When you begin your yoga journey, you will start to cultivate body awareness. Yoga improves circulation, just beginning to move your body in a few poses will bring relief to aches and pains and will certainly lift your mood.
OK, but wait, you’ve tried yoga before, but it didn’t work for you. Here’s why:
You’ve tried online yoga videos, but you physically can’t get into the poses so you feel frustrated
You’ve been to yoga classes where you did a few poses, but never understood the benefits so you were not motivated to practice or progress
You’ve been to a yoga class where you were told what shape to make, but never which actions to focus on to gain benefit from the pose
NONE OF THIS IS YOUR FAULT!
You’ve never been taught yoga in a progressive and methodical way that’s also fun and engaging. Your body is unique and so the starting place for you may be different than another student.
A one size fits all class without personalized attention can lead to injuries, low motivation, and feeling unfulfilled in your yoga practice. When you come to a LIVE class, I can see you. Not just your performance in a pose but really see YOU as a unique, whole person.

Through the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar and my own Iyengar yoga teachers, I have transformed every aspect of my life - my body, mind and emotions.

I am a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher, my approach to teaching is systematic and gradual, placing a strong emphasis on safety, alignment, and the cultivation of profound self-awareness. When you attend my class, you will receive individualized corrections and adaptations that will help you progress. You’ll be motivated to practice because you see improvement. You might even surprise yourself what you’re capable of on and off the mat!

Is yoga really for me?
It doesn’t matter if you are too stiff for yoga. It doesn’t matter what size or shape you are. Yoga is for everyone. If you are stiff, yoga can help you regain mobility and functionality in your body. If you are flexible (that’s me!) you may actually need to work on strengthening and stabilizing your muscles.

Previous students experience…
One of my students started cramping the first time she tried ardha chandrasana (a.k.a. half moon pose).
This is actually very common.
I had her try the pose supported (using a kitchen counter!) and after practicing this way for a couple of weeks, she was able to stop cramping and was able to do the pose without support.
She just needed a place to begin for her unique body.
